She's 7...

…months yesterday! How time flies! At times I just want her to stay at 6 months forever because she’s so cute at that time. But now even more cuter, I wish she stays being 7 months forever (and mama also can stay at age 2* forever – still number 2 at the front ya ;p). But there are also times that I can’t wait for her to be a toddler and start talking and keep asking me a lot of questions. Hehe you wish! And most of the times I actually can’t wait to be able to go shopping with her! How nice…but whatever it is for now I just want to enjoy watching her grow in front of my eyes J

Anyways it’s been a while since I update anything on Izma’s progress so far. So let’s do that now shall we? Where do we start? Let’s start with thing that progress a lot since a couple of months before. Her weight! Last weekend we checked, it’s already 7.35kg! Waa so chubby la this girl…hehe we got to check her weight last weekend when we took her to see pediatrician at Az-Zahra for her flu and rashes. It turned out that she was infected with viral fever. This is the first time I heard of this type of fever. According to the pedi, it is normal for babies between 6 months to 1 year to have this viral fever. It will start with a normal fever with a slightly high temperature, then as the fever go away, the rashes will come in starting from at the face then body and then will spread to the leg. At this time the baby will be really uncomfortable with his/her body which results in crankiness and need to be held all the time. This explains on Izma’s behavior as soon as her fever gone. My mom said during the day she was very cranky and my mom can’t be away from her even for a second. And my mom also had to hold and carried her most of the time. Pity them, both my mom and Izma…huhu but Alhamdulillah she’s getting better now eventhough her flu is still not fully gone and her voice is ‘serak’ now. She sounds like Ella now ;p By the way we’ll get to see if she gains any weight since last week next Monday when we see her pedi for her influenza jab. And also to see how tall she is now J

Ok la let’s move on. What else update to share? Hmm let’s recap on her diet progress now. The major progress is she’s eating rice now! She loves her rice porridge so much and eats a lot!! Pandai mama masak! Yeay me! ;p

So she started eating rice porridge which I mix with carrots and blend. Then sprinkle some anchovies which I fried without oil and blend. Yummy!!! After her main meal of the porridge, she’ll have some dessert which is fruit puree. Here are the list of food that she had eaten according to the sequence (ceh ;p):

  • Pear
  • Apple
  • Carrot
  • Potato
  • Rice
  • Anchovies
  • Pumpkin
  • Sweet potato
  • China pear (buah lai – sukati je bagi name china pear ;p)

I plan to introduce her to Mr Chicken this weekend. Hope she’ll love it. Introducing her to Mr Chicken is not by bringing her to KFC ye ayah ;p That will be way down on the above list. As in way way way way way down. Or maybe won’t ever make it to the list…haha I want to make her chicken porridge with potato tonight. Nyum nyum. That will be her meal for the next 1 week 3 days (mama yg malas ;p). Oh and also my plan to also introduce her to Miss Banana…nyum…nyum…let’s make banana shake for her!

Enough on the weight and diet (they are interrelated, no?), let’s see how she grows physically in terms of her motor development (ni konon2 peidatrician terms la ;p). As of now she’s still on her ‘guling-guling’ activity most of the time but verbally I think she had developed quite a number of different sounds. She will say ma or ma ma ma when she sees me and say ba ba or abba when she sees her ayah. Cute kan? Kan? Kan? And she says o pa too for her Opah. And my favorite one is when she’s actually talking with me on the phone. During the day I usually call my mom after lunch hour then Izma will know that I’m calling. She’ll insist to ‘talk’ with me and when I call her name she’ll respond back with her baby talk…hehe cuteness!!!

Well, apart from that I think there’s not major changes except that her hair grows longer by DAY! We cut them twice already…huhu so long and thick. Tak lama lagi boleh buat pokok kelapa ;)

We are just happy and grateful that she’s healthy and whenever she’s sick it’s not that serious. Alhamdulillah…so Izma darling, just stay cute and healthy ok! Just be you! (quoting from cerita Parenthood ;p)

Those were the days~~~

I think lately I’m really on ‘oldies’ mode. Flashbacks running through my mind on my younger years (now still young eh ;p). How things are wayyy simpler than today. And right now the particular thing that is keep rewinding on my head is on my video games ‘era’. At present I always get jealous when hubby played with his PS3. It’s not that I’m jealous because he didn’t spend that time with me but because I actually really really want to join him!!! I’m embarrassed to admit this but I actually don’t know how to play PS3. Or any PlayStation edition for that matter. Be it PSP, PS2, Xbox – eh ni macam bukan dalam keluarga PlayStation jek ;p The thing is I don’t know how to control that d*mn PS3 joy stick. Pathetic I know. I tried playing PS3 with my hubby during my preggy time but I lose of course...duhh…We played Little Big Planet (haaa ape gelak2 tu?) and all the while I pushed the wrong button on the joy stick and at the end I felt tired just to learn which button for jump, which button to walk, etc. I actually enjoyed the game but just couldn’t coordinate my hands on that d*mn joy stick…haha

I wish things are simpler just like during those old days. During my primary school years, my sister and I were really mad about video games (weren’t we all are?). I still remembered our first video game my father bought us with the 99 in 1 games disks or whatever you call it (really what’s that thing called eh?). And since then we were really addicted to it. Both of my parents were working that time and my little sister was sent to the babysitter so it will be just my older sister and I in the house during the day. So we’ll stick in front of the television with our video game ‘joy sticks’ in our hands. Glued. Hehe…until our fingers felt sore and red. And also we were so addicted to it to the extent that my mother had to put the video game set away in one of the drawers in her room. And she locked the drawer. And she lost the drawer key. Accidentally. And since then we never see that beloved video game set ever again. And that’s ladies and gents, the end of our video games era…sob~~sob~~

We usually played games which involved 2 players (and my sister won all the time…sob~~sob~~). You name it, Mario Bros, Ice Climber, Tetris, Tank Battle (is this the correct name?), King Kong, Circus (don’t remember the exact name) and we were never get bored of all those games. We played them again and again. And again. To think about it actually, we were really good girls. We never asked our father for other game disk-or-whatever-you-call-it. We were really in love with that 99 in 1 games disk-or-whatever-you-call-it. Hehe…if I’m not mistaken that 1 disk-or-whatever-you-call-it costs almost RM100. At that time it’s considered expensive ya. And the important point here is that those ‘joy sticks’ were really user friendly and the games were not as violent as the PS3 games that my hubby played. And they were also not as complicated as well. I just enjoyed myself playing the games and laughing all the way.

Mario Bros: Waa cepat Mario mkn mushroom nanti jadi besar ;p

Ice Climber: I miss this game the most. Come on Eskimos, catch that bird!

Tetris: I always heart arcade games (maybe because I’m good at them…haha perasan ;p)

Compared to the PS3 games, I’m always get stressed just watching my hubby play them. To name a few, Assassin’s Creed, Uncharted, Resident Evil (fuiyoo I tau jugak the names ;p) So violent. Blood everywhere, killing people. Waa I just can’t take it (I’m that old huh???) And sometimes he will have Izma sit on his lap while he’s playing those violent games. Aiyoo nanti ganas pulak my adorable daughter tu…hehe

Assassin’s Creed: Terjun2 bangunan pastu bunuh2 orang…ish..ish…

Uncharted: Best gak tgk hubby main ni. Main2 jap pastu ada drama…hehe

But yeah those were the days. Everything is developing as accordance to the current technology (apasal cam canggih giler ayat tak bole blah ;p). But despite all this I still missed my old uncomplicated video games. My hands are so itchy to held that old ‘joy stick’ again. Waaa really miss them. But coming to reality, those days can’t be repeated although we want it to be the case very much. So I guess you need to ‘grow’ together with the world and face the facts that the world is growing so fast!!! On the other hand, actually as we grow we also have other things that we like to do to occupy our sweet time so it really doesn’t matter if you are not keeping pace with the video games technology…hehe whatever ;p (ni konon2 nak sedapkan hati sebab actually mmg dah outdated ;p)

Now I’d rather spend my time with shopping activities. This particular activity is always the same old same old thing. Ok I know not related at all with the main topic here but I love shopping! Even more now when shopping for Izma’s stuff. Love it love it. But most of the time more to window shopping that is. And for this particular activity I'll beat hubby everytime for sure! Tee hee ^-^

This is how we do it - FINALLY!

Yup still in ‘trial and error’ mode. Can you spot the difference between this post and the previous 2 posts? Yes? No? I’ll tell you anyway.
In the first post (the testing post) I didn’t put the entry title because I didn’t know you can do that how to do it. Then on the second post (coolness post – perasan cool nampak ;p) I had the entry title at the title field AND in the beginning of the entry. I got this by putting the title in the ‘Subject’ space in the email (which reflects in the actual title field) and another one at the beginning of my email contents (hence the title in the beginning of the entry). Lesson learnt: Just put your blog title in the ‘Subject’ space in the email.
Another lesson learnt: If you start your new sentence at a new line without space in between the previous sentence and new sentence in the email, there will be a space between those 2 sentences in the actual entry. If you put space in between those 2 sentences in the email, they will be double space between those 2 sentences in the actual entry. Get my point? No? Go do the trial and error experiment yourself (emo apasal? ;p)
But the best lesson learnt on posting your entry through email is: You will look really busy in front of your office desktop like you are composing some important work related emails when you are actually filling your time updating your journal in your blog. Nice right? That’s exactly what I’m doing right now on this beautiful Friday evening. Tee hee ^-^

CoOLnEsS!!!!!

Wowww this is cool cool cool…I can actually post an entry from my email! Yeah I know I’m so slow. Just found out that you can actually do that. You can post an entry without logging in to your blog account. Ok I’m still amaze…and excited! But anyhow the cons part is that the ‘disclaimer’ part which appears at the end of the email sent will be there too..huhu so you’ll be reading my entry and suddenly at the end there’ll be the ‘disclaimer’ clause which is sooo out of place. So later on I still need to log in to my blog account and edit the entry to remove that clause.

Whatever it is I’m on my ‘trial and error’ mode now so kindly ignore my entries for today. Yeah I want to make a few ‘trial and error’ entries. You can close your window now ;p
Ahh and also stop reading now because the next phrase is that ‘disclaimer’ clause I mentioned about. Stop. Period.
