iZmA HuMaiRa iS 1!!!

First of all, Alhamdulillah that I had manage to write this entry on this very day. How long will this entry be or how it will be ended are depend on the birthday girl herself. Right now she's still asleep beside me. Hopefully I can finish writing all the things that I want to write (what things eh?) before she wakes up and ask for her nenen..hehe

Actually I don't really have any specific idea on what to write about on this special day but this whole day my head keep rewinding on what I had been through exactly one year ago. It really feels like it was just yesterday. But among all the things that I've been through on this date last year (most of them are the 19-hour labour pain ;p) the most vivid memory that I couldn't and won't ever forget was the moment I met eye to eye with my lovely daughter for the first time. That was when she had been cleaned and sent to me at the labor room. The nurse was holding her beside me and Izma was looking directly at me with her sparkling eyes. And just with that moment, my 19-hour labour pain was gone...she really had such beautiful eyes that melt my heart (my heritance maybe or ayah kut sbb buat cair nih ;p)

Ok lah actually I have few things to record here but don't know where to start. I want to record her milestone achievements so far (ape nih? report card ke?), then I want to put her monthly pictures until today (ni monthly progress report pulak ke?) But I think I start with the latter and have another separate entry on her milestone achievements...but...but...jgn ingat hari ni ada 2 entry ye...it will be later. Hopefully not that much later la kan...ngeh2...

So let's see her monthly progress physically...

Hi! I'm 1 day old and I don't know my name yet ;p
But people look at me and said cutenyerrr...is that my name?

Kate monthly progress ni apasal ade gambar daily lak ni? Takkan nak tgk sampai 365 gambaq? Hehe relax, consider this is the baseline for the monthly pics ya :)

1 month old!
I know how to smile already! And people still call me cutenyerrr and I'll definitely looked up!

2 months old!
I just figured out that my name is Izma s'thing...yeah whatever..i still prefer cutenyerrr though!

3 months old!
Ayah bought me this lovely dress. I'm definitely a girl right? And a cute one too!

4 months old!
This time mama really tried hard to flatten my cacak2 hair so that I won't look like a baby boy. Nice try mama ;p

5 months old!
Can't hide my trojan hair. Wearing pink didn't help from people mistaken me for a boy. I told you I should stick to cutenyerrr name. Sounds more feminine kan :)

6 months old!
Got my Bumbo. And all those toys that ayah and mama put at my stroller to keep me from screaming aloud at shopping complexes ;p

7 months old!
Celebrate ayah's birthday @ Victoria Station 2 days after my 7-month birthday! Ayah is 348 months old during this time :) (Mama is much younger yer...by a lot of months ;p)

8 months old!
Couldn't fit into this stroller anymore la. Can't we just bring the queen bed for me to sleep during mama's shopping trips?

9 months old!
At Bluewave Hotel, JB...used to be my second home..hehe but not anymore :)

10 months old!
Big enough to sit at my own chair at restaurants! Oh my hair is already so girlish right?

11 months old!
I'm a big girl but I still want mama to carry me :) And btw if you ask, I don't know who are those people at the back of us. Do you?

12 months old!
I'm 1!!! And I put that one candle on the cake myself! It's chocolate banana cake and it's my first birthday cake! :)

Mama let me lick the spoon. Oh it's sooo nyum nyum yummy!!!
When ayah comes home I want to ask for a cheese cake pulak. Yippie!! I love my birthday!!!

So I hope you alls enjoy the pics! I do! It's Izma's hall of fame on her birthday. And not to forget credit to my hubby since I got all the photos from his iPhone except for the last 2 pics that I took myself, also using his iPhone...hehe It's so sad that he can't be here today to celebrate with us but we got to see him just now @ Skype. Miss you so much darling! Come back soon k.

To my dearest darling little angel, happy 1st birthday sayang! You are the greatest gift that we can ask for. We love you so much and looking forward to celebrate more birthdays of yours!!! Mmmuahhhh!!!!

XOX, Mama & Ayah :)

It's a Sunday

And I can't believe I have time to write s'thing here on a Sunday! Actually the main reason that I have all the time in the world on this particular Sunday is because hubby is currently offshore (sob...sob...) and Izma is already asleep and I didn't join her as I usually do because I already got a lot of sleep this afternoon. Long nice nap...as I said I have all the time in the world :)

It's 12 days to go before hubby came home and we already missed him terribly. But happy today as we saw him at Skype just now :) But still long way to go before we can see him physically. Ok2 enough whining ;p

Well I don't have any specific topic or story to tell today but feel guilty of abandoning this space for so long (yes, same old, same old ;p). I'm having my ACD in ONE WEEK and I'm supposed to use this free weekend to study but you know what happened? I forgot! And now that I remember that I'm supposed to study, it's too late already!!!huhu...so tomorrow I'll have meeting in the morning, want to settle a few administrative work in the afternoon and there goes my Monday. Tuesday is a public holiday. So I got Wednesday until Friday to cover everything. Just forget the next weekends ya since we all know what happened this weekend ;p Waaaa I don't want to go to ACD!!!

And also just now hubby asked me to start the preparation for Izma's first birthday party which will be tentatively on 19th December because that's the only time my in laws are available until next year. Where do I start? And I have to prepare for my ACD as well (do I? ;p) And I have to discuss on the birthday party with my MIL...over the phone. I think I can only start doing the preparation only after my ACD or else I won't be studying at all because preparing a birthday party is so much more fun, right??? Really can't wait to get over my ACD and start surfing the net for the Barbie birthday cake (Izma don't have any Barbie doll yet and she doesn't even know what Barbie is but who cares right? Barbie doll cake is so adorable, no? Hehe mama yang lebih2 ni...kasi can la while she still couldn't pick her own birthday cake kan...kan...)

But whatever it is, I still want to make a super duper small birthday party on her actual birthday which will consists of Izma, myself, her Opah, her Cu and a little birthday cake which I plan to buy at Cake Sense on my way back from work. Nyum2...which cake to buy eh? Cheese cake or moist chocolate cake? Or...both? Haha this is actually for myself but I promise that the birthday girl will have a piece of it. A little super duper tiny piece...and the rest is ours...yeah!!!!

Ok lah enough on my imaginary birthday cake. I'll try to make a special entry for my little darling angel during her birthday soon. I hope I can make it...right on her first birthday. Oh my baby girl is almost 1!!! It feels like only yesterday we set eyes on her for the first time...at 5.55pm on 8th December 2009...

December 8, 2009

And 9 months later...

September 8, 2010

A big girl!!!

Why I choose 9 months later? Because that's the lattest Izma's pic that we took on an 8th...just for the dramatic effect of saying, '_ months later...', so that the pic is really taken on her monthly birthday...haha whatever la. Actually I can just pick any latest pic of her and say 11 moths later... You won't know if it's true right? Ok2 enough with all those dramatic effect...the point is my tiny little girl had become a big girl now!!! And I'm falling in love with her everyday!!! And with her ayah too *wink*

RaYa WitHoUt OuR mAn~~~

Yes, we'll celebrate our aidiladha soon...without our beloved man...sob...sob...takde rezeki Izma to have proper first raya, both for aidilfitri and aidiladha. It's ok darling, you are still surrounded by people that are so crazy madly in love with you especially ME! :)

So our man is currently 'work for the nation' at offshore Kerteh right now since Monday and insyaAllah he'll be home by next Friday. And from now on he's officially work on offshore basis for the hook up an commissioning activities. He'll be 2 weeks offshore and followed by 2 weeks onshore rest and to be continued on this basis until end of 2011. That is if everything goes smoothly. If not then this arrangement will continue until the project completes.

And right now Izma and I are waiting for him to be online at Skype, our latest most important internet application, which took over Facebook in the list ;p In what place Blogger is? Errrr let me count and will tell you later. So way down the list...hahaha. And speaking of waiting, now it's just me. Izma is already asleep on my lap in front of this lappy.

p/s: This in an overdue entry which I didn't manage to finish coz hubby was already online that time for our Skype session...and the rest is history ;p
The truth is I really don't remember what story I want to tell for the above entry but don't want to delete my 'huge' effort writing s'thing in here so this entry will stay...like it or not ;p

of debu and sawang gugugaga

Fuh2 shoh2 sume debu and sawang yg telah hinggap at my blog nih. Sian die dah lame tuannye tak berkunjung tiba. And also on that note rase nak tulis bahase kebangsaan la this time around. Bahase kebangsaan yg telah di'pasar'kan to be exact ;p Kata my thinking language is my mother's tongue kan. Mmg ahli keluarga most of the time menggunakan bahase pasar tersebut. Enough on that please....

Ok la actually saje je nak tulis something here coz nak rasmikan my new mouse, courtesy of beloved hubby. Tikus takde ekor tau. Best wooo...hehe thanks a lot dear! Cam la tulis blog nih byk pakai mouse kan, dan2 tulis sbb nak rasmikan mouse. Whatever la kan.

So a lot had happened since last time i wuz ere (hehe dah lame x jumpe phrase 'i wuz ere' ni which is so famous at my high school...i wuz ere is everywhere...haha perasan cool btul la sape2 yg mengvandalismekan kawasan sekolah dgn perkataan tersebut ;p) Whatever it is as I mentioned a lot had happened...but...nothing really interesting la actually. But not to record what had happened pun cam x best jugak especially on that lil' girl's development. To name a few, had I mention that she had her first tooth already? And the second as well? I don't think I did. And that just one thing kan. There are sooooo much to update la....waaa where to start eh?

It's ok la, let's do it slowly. Ok we shall start with her development la before I forgot everything. Eh anyway what happen to my bahase jiwa bangsa eh? Suddenly my thinking language dah switch to english la pulok. But still in 'pasar' category la. Or rojak. That suit better. My rojak manglish ;p Ok2 back to topic, Izma's development (that I can recall as of now la ye):
  • Can stand by herself when berpaut to furniture or my kaki and boleh tawaf meja 7 pusingan lengkap (dpt gak tekan tikus itu sbb nak letak bullet kan...syok woo ;p)
  • Loves to eat everything - so far in her radar right now mostly rice, chicken, beef, carrot, pumpkin, spinach, various fruits, bread - and she loves all of them, no exception
  • Her weight is currently around 9kg++
  • Call me mama or emy!!!!! selambe la dak kecik ni panggil I emy...ni sure ikut ayah and opah die panggil...hehe
  • Sudah menunjukkan kegarangannye - marah if retreat anything she's holding and pandai pukul org kalo marah...and also pandai merajuk...cair sume org ;p
  • Susah nak habiskan susu sebotol pun - senang distract with everything around her and she prefers to eat than drink milk - dah boring kut....asyik2 susu, asyik2 susu...hehe
  • Tido lintang pukang - abis conquer satu katil - most of the time I yg hampir2 nak jatuh katil kene tolak ngan dak kecik tu...hehe (note: ayah, we need a bigger katil ;p)
  • Dah byk ckp bebel2 - x kisah ade org layan or not die tetap bebel...hehe
  • Likes to say fish...tunjuk bird sebut fish, tunjuk car sebut fish jugak...i think it's time to feed her fish kut...ikan is not part of her diet yet...ok2 Izma, I got the message...will do that soon ye :)
  • Suke sgt joget2 goyang badan n bum bile dgr lagu kat TV...sungguh2 joget especially iklan mc donalds spicy chicken macdeluxe tu...awal2 dgr goyang2 bum, pastu masuk part yg rap2 tu abis satu badan goyang...haha so cute!!!! ish2 mane blaja nih Izma ;p
  • Merangkak dah laju dan maju...hehe first time merangkak on 3rd raya @ Bluewave Hotel JB and ayah die yg first witness...saje nak tunjuk skill kat ayah pulak...selalu asyik terlepas je her milestone kan sbb dok jauh
Ok can't think of any other things yet for now. Actually there are tonnes of them but can't really recall. Nanti kalau dah ingat I'll update lagi dan lagi dan lagi. Hmm best pulok tulis bahase ibunda nih. Laju je saye menaip. Kalo tulis omputih, taip2 delete sbb cam x sedap je ayat. Pastu tulis and delete lagi. Asyik rase something wrong je. But if camni main jalan je. No turning back. Kate pasar and rojak kan. Bedal je la...hehe

Btw I'm on my way to a transformation plan....fuiyooo nak jadik transformer ke ape nih ;p
That one I'll update later la if that plan works well. I hope so la. It will be starting next Monday insyaAllah. Can't wait la. Suppose to be today but takde rezeki hari ni. It's ok, I'll wait patiently and excitedly. Fuiyoo cam suspen kan ape bende la ni...hehe nothing big pun la actually but if the result is really inspiring then I'll share it here. So wish me luck eh...hehe cam nak gi interview lak nak wish gud luck ;p

Ok gtg nak gi mkn lapalala~~~

What's your thinking language?

This is something that my boss shared with me. Well not me alone, he shared this with all of us in my department. He mentioned that you know you are fluent in certain language if you do your thinking in that language. And he mentioned that if you want to be fluent in English which is important for your job (at least in our case…kut ;p) then you have to start thinking in English. So I was like ok that’s easy peasy (peasy? tgk ni awal2 dah tau confirm tak fluent in English lagi ;p). But the truth is it’s not easy!

Actually it’s supposed to be subconsciously done as if you are really thinking in English without you realizing it. However as for my case I think most of the time I do my thinking in my mother’s tongue language, which is not English, obviously. But there are moments when I remembered that “eh, am I already fluent in English?” (I ask myself this in my mother’s tongue language ;p) and then only I start to do my thinking in English, consciously. And it’s difficult! Suddenly I don’t know what to think about and if I have something to think about, I am thinking about it in a very structured English language…haha sounds difficult right? And not natural at all of course ;p

I think as long as we are speaking day to day in our mother’s tongue language or any language in that matter, most of the time we will do our thinking in that same language…kut…hehe because it’s really in your subconscious mind so it’s really hard to find out what language are you thinking in. Or is this case just for me eh? I’m so complicated eh? And I’m still not fluent in English…sigh~~~

Ok to abg and Izma, let’s speak in English from now on! Hehehe yolah tuuu ;p sendiri pun berterabur jangan nak ajar Izma ajaran sesat yer…hahaha but that is something that can be done actually. Will still keep this option open J and also it’s nice to master more than one language right J

So peeps what’s your thinking language?

One year wiser...

And of course yeah, one year older for me...and almost one month had passed since my birthday on 31st August. I had been dreading this post  for too long and really need to write this memorable milestone before I forgot everything. Doesn't matter if I'm one year wiser, people do forget no matter how wise we are..haha whatever la kan ;p

Ok so my birthday this year fell in the fasting month again like last year's. However this time it was on Tuesday, not really nice timing for a public holiday. Hubby was very busy during this time. It was the peak time for his project at Pasir Gudang before the load outs during Raya. And thus we agreed to celebrate my birthday during the weekend. So one day before my birthday on Monday hubby went back to JB as usual. He said he had to work on Tuesday which was supposed to be a public holiday. He said everybody in the project team has to work on that day. So it's ok with me and I was looking forward for the next weekend instead.

Well Tuesday morning nothing unusual happened. Actually I was thinking maybe hubby will surprise me by coming back home exactly at 12 am on Tuesday but that didn't happen. He just called me and asked what I want for my birthday and I told him just get me anything but not another Coach handbag. I had enough of them (haha cam la byk sgt kan ;p). So that was it, I said ok that's it, no surprise...huhu so Tuesday morning I just enjoying my birthday with Izma and the television ;p Mama asked if I want to go out somewhere but I didn't feel like it because I didn't know where to go and it's fasting time so have to save that evergy to entertain Izma for the whole day...hehe

That morning hubby called me a few times but I didn't suspect anything unusual. At around 1pm hubby called again. And this time he asked me to look outside the house. And there he was! Waaaa really really surprise! You got me darling! Terkejut tak ingat wooo and soooo happy!!! Izma was also excited to see him :) And he already got me a nice present :)

It's a Tissot watch!!! I love it very very much!!! It was perfect because the current Guess watch that I'm wearing (which is my birthday present also from him for 2007) is already tight for my chubby hand and I couldn't remember where I put the strap extensions...huhu

As for my birthday dinner, last year we had my break fast birthday dinner at Seri Angkasa Restaurant @ KL Tower (i hope that's the right name of the restaurant..huhu ingat2 lupa ;p). For this year, still the same restaurant branch but at the normal land latitude..haha..we had my break fast birthday dinner at Seri Melayu Restaurant this time. The food was nice and we ate a lot! Really a lot ok. I especially love the roti john...omg so yummy and full of beef and less egg. So contrary with what we usually bought at the Pasar Ramadhan which always looks like bread with omelette spread and I usually don't care whether it's chicken or beef roti john because they taste the same, no? But this one, it's just undescribable..fuhh..until now I can still imagine the taste. Marvellous! (Yes, that's me when describing about food. I just love to eat ;p)

Anyways, before I start making food review for Seri Melayu Restaurant, I'd better direct this entry back to it's original story line ;p Well all in all I had the best birthday ever as I was surrounded by my loved ones. This time together with Izma also. I'm so blessed...a big big big thank you to my dearest hubby for the surprise, for the birthday present, for the birthday dinner and for being there on my special day. I love you sooo much!!! Mmuahh!!! XOX :)

Breastfeeding & fasting

First of all, to Cery I owe you this…well some part of this la…nanti baca2 if rasa2 leh jadi testimonial sila ambil yer…help yourself ;p

Ok to others, please ignore the above note. What I want to story here is about my fasting experience as a breastfeeding mom for the first time J For fasting I have a lot of experience la of course, bukan first time yer ;p But fasting AND breastfeeding is a totally different story ya. Well saje je wat ayat dramatic camtu. Actual case not very much different from normal fasting la. It’s just that you have to think on how to maintain the milk supply just like when you are not fasting.

Coming near Ramadhan, I admit that I was really nervous to face Ramadhan. Firstly because I never practice fasting ever since last year’s Ramadhan (dapat puasa full la katekan J Alhamdulillah). So no ganti2 puasa and sunat2 also of course la not in the picture as well ;p Then secondly because I just can’t imagine the thirstiness that I will feel after each breastpump session. Usually I will feel really really thirsty after the bp session and will drink a lot of water. But during fasting month how? And also eventhough Izma is already on formula as well I really need to continue pumping to maintain my supply because at night Izma won’t drink from the bottle. So if I don’t pump, there’ll be no demand and eventually no supply la. And I’m so afraid that my milk will dried up during this fasting month…huhu this is my biggest fear since my milk ni kan mmg kais pagi mkn pagi, kais ptg pun mkn pagi jugak sbb tak cukup dah utk ptg…haha so no EBM stock at all…huhu

Ok lah enough on my fear experience. So I was really nervous and thinking and thinking and thinking what to do about it. Ceh cam masalah negara lak kan ;p Then my friend Cery who is also a Shaklee dealer provide me with the solution…hehe she introduced me to Shaklee Performance Drink and Mealshake. I’ve been consuming the Mealshake for quite some time before that just as my vitamins supplements. But for fasting and breastfeeding she recommended the Performance Drink. So what actually does this thing do? It actually maintains your body rehydration so that your body have sufficient fluid despite of fasting during the day. And I gave it a try.

The result? I drink 1 glass of this everyday during sahur with 2 tablets of Alfalfa and as of now on 9th Ramadhan I still able to maintain my daily production of 8oz (yeah it’s only 8oz ye, kecoh je lebey kan ;p). But sometimes it also drops about 0.5oz – 1oz. Still ok with me, enough for 2 feedings J And I’m still able to direct bf Izma in the evening. Yeay me and yeay Izma! J And the most important thing is that I don’t feel so thirsty after each bp session. So I’m ok having 2 bp sessions at office. Yeay again!

So to Cery, the Performance Drink rocks! It’s tasty (rasa cordial oren) and it works! Definitely will have this for my sahur for next Ramadhan as well…InsyaAllah if ada rezeki J

But anyhow comparing fasting during pregnant and fasting during breastfeeding, it is more challenging during breastfeeding, at least for me la. But for those who are gifted with so much milk may not really feel the difference. Even if there is any difference surely their EBM stock can back up any milk shortage…hehe as for me it’s not really about to provide as much milk as possible but the challenge is for me to maintain whatever supply that I have at least until Izma reaches one year old InsyaAllah…and it’s still 4 months to go so I really can’t let my milk dried up now. That more of the reason actually. Whatever la kan ;p

So whatever it is I hope it’s not too late to wish y’all Happy Fasting and enjoy your Ramadhan ya! Toodles~~~

p/s: Note to myself – 4 months to go to de-commissioning of my Medela Freestyle...tee hee…

Izma Poppins and The Magic Umbrella

Izma is currently sooo obsess with her ayah's Timberland black umbrella. Introducing Izma Poppins...

Mama and Izma berposing dgn payung Ayah. Payung mesti pegang yer...

Ok ni Izma posing bersungguh-sungguh

Ni Mama pulak posing...Izma malas nak layan...panas tuuu

Sian Ayah pegang payung berat...meh Izma tolong

Pegang jgn tak pegang ;p

But seriously she's really obsess with that umbrella. She'll be soo excited whenever we want to open that umbrella and insist to hold it. And she'll scream and cry when we take the umbrella from her...huhuhu Izma, Izma, mainan ada byk tapi payung jugak yg dia suke main ;p

The Sitting Sequel

Hi all! I think I can sit already...see...see...

Steady...

Eh...why I feel senget2 one

Alamak...gelongsor pulak ni...cannot control myself already

Mama help!!! Tolonggg...

Ok I think I cannot sit yet laa...huhu...

we're in JB y'all! again...and again...

Yup currently we're in JB yet again. I guess we're practicing and preparing ourselves to celebrate Izma's very first hari raya puasa here. Can you imagine Izma's first raya away from her Opah, Wan, both Atuks and uncles and aunties. There will be just her Mama and Ayah. Oh and also the d*mn platform to be loaded out exactly 2 days before raya. That is the current planned date as of now. And looking at the histories of load outs, there will definitely delay by a few days and if it's delay by 2 days, wallaaa....there you go, celebrating raya with the d*mn platform at the site (konon2 marah la padahal bukan kena pegi site pun...just the mr hubby la ;p). But what to do kan. Just redha je la and enjoy ourselves. And to think about it Izma and I should prepare a yellow baju raya to match with hubby's yellow jacket to wear on the first of raya...huhu there go our pink theme for this year.

Ok I'm babbling on something that is not related to the topic at all. But actually nothing to share also on the topic. I don't even know why I want to put an entry with that title...haha nak buat sequel "we're in JB y'all" kut. Hopefully this will the last 'series' for this year ya ;p

As for our JB trip, it's the same old same old Bluewave and same old same old PIR session but this time in MMHE. My first time here :) And also one good thing is I don't have to cook Izma's rice porridge for the whole week because I'm fully utilizing the plain porridge they serve during breakfast at the hotel and just sprinkle my blended anchovies in the porridge. Yeay me! Izma really like it and she eats a lot! Makin bambam la my already bulat daughter ni :)

Well, that's all folks! ;p
Haha cam cerita tergantung lak. Whatever~~~

She's 7...

…months yesterday! How time flies! At times I just want her to stay at 6 months forever because she’s so cute at that time. But now even more cuter, I wish she stays being 7 months forever (and mama also can stay at age 2* forever – still number 2 at the front ya ;p). But there are also times that I can’t wait for her to be a toddler and start talking and keep asking me a lot of questions. Hehe you wish! And most of the times I actually can’t wait to be able to go shopping with her! How nice…but whatever it is for now I just want to enjoy watching her grow in front of my eyes J

Anyways it’s been a while since I update anything on Izma’s progress so far. So let’s do that now shall we? Where do we start? Let’s start with thing that progress a lot since a couple of months before. Her weight! Last weekend we checked, it’s already 7.35kg! Waa so chubby la this girl…hehe we got to check her weight last weekend when we took her to see pediatrician at Az-Zahra for her flu and rashes. It turned out that she was infected with viral fever. This is the first time I heard of this type of fever. According to the pedi, it is normal for babies between 6 months to 1 year to have this viral fever. It will start with a normal fever with a slightly high temperature, then as the fever go away, the rashes will come in starting from at the face then body and then will spread to the leg. At this time the baby will be really uncomfortable with his/her body which results in crankiness and need to be held all the time. This explains on Izma’s behavior as soon as her fever gone. My mom said during the day she was very cranky and my mom can’t be away from her even for a second. And my mom also had to hold and carried her most of the time. Pity them, both my mom and Izma…huhu but Alhamdulillah she’s getting better now eventhough her flu is still not fully gone and her voice is ‘serak’ now. She sounds like Ella now ;p By the way we’ll get to see if she gains any weight since last week next Monday when we see her pedi for her influenza jab. And also to see how tall she is now J

Ok la let’s move on. What else update to share? Hmm let’s recap on her diet progress now. The major progress is she’s eating rice now! She loves her rice porridge so much and eats a lot!! Pandai mama masak! Yeay me! ;p

So she started eating rice porridge which I mix with carrots and blend. Then sprinkle some anchovies which I fried without oil and blend. Yummy!!! After her main meal of the porridge, she’ll have some dessert which is fruit puree. Here are the list of food that she had eaten according to the sequence (ceh ;p):

  • Pear
  • Apple
  • Carrot
  • Potato
  • Rice
  • Anchovies
  • Pumpkin
  • Sweet potato
  • China pear (buah lai – sukati je bagi name china pear ;p)

I plan to introduce her to Mr Chicken this weekend. Hope she’ll love it. Introducing her to Mr Chicken is not by bringing her to KFC ye ayah ;p That will be way down on the above list. As in way way way way way down. Or maybe won’t ever make it to the list…haha I want to make her chicken porridge with potato tonight. Nyum nyum. That will be her meal for the next 1 week 3 days (mama yg malas ;p). Oh and also my plan to also introduce her to Miss Banana…nyum…nyum…let’s make banana shake for her!

Enough on the weight and diet (they are interrelated, no?), let’s see how she grows physically in terms of her motor development (ni konon2 peidatrician terms la ;p). As of now she’s still on her ‘guling-guling’ activity most of the time but verbally I think she had developed quite a number of different sounds. She will say ma or ma ma ma when she sees me and say ba ba or abba when she sees her ayah. Cute kan? Kan? Kan? And she says o pa too for her Opah. And my favorite one is when she’s actually talking with me on the phone. During the day I usually call my mom after lunch hour then Izma will know that I’m calling. She’ll insist to ‘talk’ with me and when I call her name she’ll respond back with her baby talk…hehe cuteness!!!

Well, apart from that I think there’s not major changes except that her hair grows longer by DAY! We cut them twice already…huhu so long and thick. Tak lama lagi boleh buat pokok kelapa ;)

We are just happy and grateful that she’s healthy and whenever she’s sick it’s not that serious. Alhamdulillah…so Izma darling, just stay cute and healthy ok! Just be you! (quoting from cerita Parenthood ;p)

Those were the days~~~

I think lately I’m really on ‘oldies’ mode. Flashbacks running through my mind on my younger years (now still young eh ;p). How things are wayyy simpler than today. And right now the particular thing that is keep rewinding on my head is on my video games ‘era’. At present I always get jealous when hubby played with his PS3. It’s not that I’m jealous because he didn’t spend that time with me but because I actually really really want to join him!!! I’m embarrassed to admit this but I actually don’t know how to play PS3. Or any PlayStation edition for that matter. Be it PSP, PS2, Xbox – eh ni macam bukan dalam keluarga PlayStation jek ;p The thing is I don’t know how to control that d*mn PS3 joy stick. Pathetic I know. I tried playing PS3 with my hubby during my preggy time but I lose of course...duhh…We played Little Big Planet (haaa ape gelak2 tu?) and all the while I pushed the wrong button on the joy stick and at the end I felt tired just to learn which button for jump, which button to walk, etc. I actually enjoyed the game but just couldn’t coordinate my hands on that d*mn joy stick…haha

I wish things are simpler just like during those old days. During my primary school years, my sister and I were really mad about video games (weren’t we all are?). I still remembered our first video game my father bought us with the 99 in 1 games disks or whatever you call it (really what’s that thing called eh?). And since then we were really addicted to it. Both of my parents were working that time and my little sister was sent to the babysitter so it will be just my older sister and I in the house during the day. So we’ll stick in front of the television with our video game ‘joy sticks’ in our hands. Glued. Hehe…until our fingers felt sore and red. And also we were so addicted to it to the extent that my mother had to put the video game set away in one of the drawers in her room. And she locked the drawer. And she lost the drawer key. Accidentally. And since then we never see that beloved video game set ever again. And that’s ladies and gents, the end of our video games era…sob~~sob~~

We usually played games which involved 2 players (and my sister won all the time…sob~~sob~~). You name it, Mario Bros, Ice Climber, Tetris, Tank Battle (is this the correct name?), King Kong, Circus (don’t remember the exact name) and we were never get bored of all those games. We played them again and again. And again. To think about it actually, we were really good girls. We never asked our father for other game disk-or-whatever-you-call-it. We were really in love with that 99 in 1 games disk-or-whatever-you-call-it. Hehe…if I’m not mistaken that 1 disk-or-whatever-you-call-it costs almost RM100. At that time it’s considered expensive ya. And the important point here is that those ‘joy sticks’ were really user friendly and the games were not as violent as the PS3 games that my hubby played. And they were also not as complicated as well. I just enjoyed myself playing the games and laughing all the way.

Mario Bros: Waa cepat Mario mkn mushroom nanti jadi besar ;p

Ice Climber: I miss this game the most. Come on Eskimos, catch that bird!

Tetris: I always heart arcade games (maybe because I’m good at them…haha perasan ;p)

Compared to the PS3 games, I’m always get stressed just watching my hubby play them. To name a few, Assassin’s Creed, Uncharted, Resident Evil (fuiyoo I tau jugak the names ;p) So violent. Blood everywhere, killing people. Waa I just can’t take it (I’m that old huh???) And sometimes he will have Izma sit on his lap while he’s playing those violent games. Aiyoo nanti ganas pulak my adorable daughter tu…hehe

Assassin’s Creed: Terjun2 bangunan pastu bunuh2 orang…ish..ish…

Uncharted: Best gak tgk hubby main ni. Main2 jap pastu ada drama…hehe

But yeah those were the days. Everything is developing as accordance to the current technology (apasal cam canggih giler ayat tak bole blah ;p). But despite all this I still missed my old uncomplicated video games. My hands are so itchy to held that old ‘joy stick’ again. Waaa really miss them. But coming to reality, those days can’t be repeated although we want it to be the case very much. So I guess you need to ‘grow’ together with the world and face the facts that the world is growing so fast!!! On the other hand, actually as we grow we also have other things that we like to do to occupy our sweet time so it really doesn’t matter if you are not keeping pace with the video games technology…hehe whatever ;p (ni konon2 nak sedapkan hati sebab actually mmg dah outdated ;p)

Now I’d rather spend my time with shopping activities. This particular activity is always the same old same old thing. Ok I know not related at all with the main topic here but I love shopping! Even more now when shopping for Izma’s stuff. Love it love it. But most of the time more to window shopping that is. And for this particular activity I'll beat hubby everytime for sure! Tee hee ^-^

This is how we do it - FINALLY!

Yup still in ‘trial and error’ mode. Can you spot the difference between this post and the previous 2 posts? Yes? No? I’ll tell you anyway.
In the first post (the testing post) I didn’t put the entry title because I didn’t know you can do that how to do it. Then on the second post (coolness post – perasan cool nampak ;p) I had the entry title at the title field AND in the beginning of the entry. I got this by putting the title in the ‘Subject’ space in the email (which reflects in the actual title field) and another one at the beginning of my email contents (hence the title in the beginning of the entry). Lesson learnt: Just put your blog title in the ‘Subject’ space in the email.
Another lesson learnt: If you start your new sentence at a new line without space in between the previous sentence and new sentence in the email, there will be a space between those 2 sentences in the actual entry. If you put space in between those 2 sentences in the email, they will be double space between those 2 sentences in the actual entry. Get my point? No? Go do the trial and error experiment yourself (emo apasal? ;p)
But the best lesson learnt on posting your entry through email is: You will look really busy in front of your office desktop like you are composing some important work related emails when you are actually filling your time updating your journal in your blog. Nice right? That’s exactly what I’m doing right now on this beautiful Friday evening. Tee hee ^-^

CoOLnEsS!!!!!

CoOLnEsS!!!!!

Wowww this is cool cool cool…I can actually post an entry from my email! Yeah I know I’m so slow. Just found out that you can actually do that. You can post an entry without logging in to your blog account. Ok I’m still amaze…and excited! But anyhow the cons part is that the ‘disclaimer’ part which appears at the end of the email sent will be there too..huhu so you’ll be reading my entry and suddenly at the end there’ll be the ‘disclaimer’ clause which is sooo out of place. So later on I still need to log in to my blog account and edit the entry to remove that clause.

Whatever it is I’m on my ‘trial and error’ mode now so kindly ignore my entries for today. Yeah I want to make a few ‘trial and error’ entries. You can close your window now ;p
Ahh and also stop reading now because the next phrase is that ‘disclaimer’ clause I mentioned about. Stop. Period.

another one thing coming to my plate

Yeah you read it right. Something is coming to fill my plate which is currently not full yet I guess. Why I put the word 'another' in the title pun I don't know. Macam la my plate tu dah ada macam2 kan ;p Anyhows now I'm thinking of opening another blog to manage that particular thing. Should I or should I not? Will I be able to manage 2 blogs? Hahahaha...yeah I'm laughing too. One blog also cannot manage and yet so ambitious to open another blog. But the idea is so exciting actually. I can start thinking on the blog's name. Have a few on my mind already. Ok tipu ;p

But to actually put that 'big' thing (konon2nye) in this blog is really not suitable as most of my entries here are on my personal updates (or should I say ALL of my entries...hehe 'most' konon). And and and also I don't actually 'commercialize' this blog to public even to my own close friends (sebab saya sgt pemalu). Most of them found this blog accidentally (I don't think so) or through my Facebook (this is more of the case) - my hubby put the URL there eventhough I said please please don't put it...huhu ;p tapi sebagai isteri solehah have to redha je la. Somehow he is the one who created my FB account in the first place. Being me - sooo not IT savvy, it'll take years to open the account kut...haha I memang suka exaggerate ;p

Ok back to the topic (every entry pun sure got this 'tagline' kan) that one thing is actually some sort of business opportunity for me. The intention is to make it my second income (konon2) but most likely I'll be the regular customer to my own business or the only customer...haha. The reason is it is something that I like and I have every intention to borong all the products ;p So thinking about it rather than being my second income, it will actually become my second expense...or third...or fourth and so forth huhuhu...Ok2 now think positive Emy! You can do it! You can actually make it work! Hopefully hubby will support me on this. It's not like he HAS to be one of my regular customers or what not (boleh je) but I hope he will support me morally (is there such word?) and logistically.

But whatever it is...ladies n gents, just watch out for this space!!! :)

walking down the memory lane *wink*

"Memory is a way of holding on to the things you love, the things you are, the things you never want to lose" ~ Kevin Arnold

So which memory lane did I walk down to? That reminds me I've quite a number of memory lanes and should go back to those historical (for me at least ;p) places. To name a few:

  1. Tadika Kemas Taman Bukit Anggerik: 1987 - 1988 (yg ni hari2 pun lalu going back n fro to work...hihi)
  2. Sekolah Kebangsaan Jalan Pasar (1): 1989 - 1994 (last time I passed through my primary school, it looked so different than it used to be, almost didn't recognize it probably due to a lot of new apartments and buildings surrounding it - now the view of the school is blocked by Maju Expressway (MEX)..huhu)
  3. Tunku Kurshiah College: 1995 - 1999 (or Kolej Tunku Kurshiah, KTK, KaTaK...malu i ;p anyways batch 9599 rocks! -eyot-)
  4. Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS: 2000 - 2004 (yup2 i'm an UTPian...proud to be one...hehe very nice place now...i loike!)
  5. PETRONAS Carigali Sarawak Operations, Miri a.k.a. SKO: 2005 - 2009 (definitely will go back there...wait wait, not as a staff ya definitely but as a visitor during my vacation to Miri...hehe)
  6. PETRONAS Carigali KL, Twin Tower KL: 2009 - Present (not yet a memory lane but will be one day, no?)
Ish tgk list kat atas cam tulis resume lak ;p
Anyways, the original intent of this entry is on my visit to one of my memory lanes which is lane #4 from the above list. As usual, my intro babbling will overrule my entry title for half page b4 actually going to the main topic. There you go again ;p

Ok la cut the story short, last Saturday we went to hubby's cousin's wedding at Batu Gajah which is the first Izma's trip to north part. So after the wedding we dropped by at UTP konon2 to send Hakim back (but actually Izhar yg sent him back, we just joined them...hehe). We are so excited upon entering the gate but 'we' consists of me n hubby je coz that little girl was already slept cosily in her car seat and I didn't manage to wake her up...huhu 'this place is not for me, mama...i told you i want to be a dentist, right...' hehe the second part of the script tu I tambah sendiri - cita-citaku ;p

Anyhows we managed to 'walk our memory lane' around UTP that evening and it looked so different especially at the Etana-Metana side. The cafe that we used to hang out during my first year was no longer there. Instead there is a new cafe beside the Ruby-Tembungo block. The small aisle that we used to walk going to classes (in front of Baram I think) was already closed and they planted grass and trees at the old cafe place. Dah jadi jalan mati...huhu thus frustrated on those changes they made to our historical place (emo lak apsal?), we move on to visit the chancellor hall, library, academic blocks, old admin block, labs, LH1-LH3 (Dewan Kuliah) and my most favorite place - Village 4! We were all smiling driving there as we finally saw the side of UTP that we remembered :) Oh I sooo missed that place! And when coming in front of Jaya hostel I suddenly remembered my strolling evenings with Eeja and Che Ah...really miss them! And on the other note, Izma was still sleeping ya despite of our excitedness in the car...haha. But we didn't stopped by anywhere there coz it's already late in the evening. Just enjoying the view through the window...

But but we managed to take this shot before heading back home. We stopped by at UTP mosque and knowing that our 'tawaf' journey had almost come to the end, Izma suddenly woke up...haha excited nak blk yer ;p So here we are in front of the new (not so new la sister ;p) UTP mosque...

macam gambar raye la pulak ;p

Whatever it is I heart you UTP! Still am~~~

starting the solid journey...nyum2...

"I do not like broccoli. And I haven't liked it since I was a little kid and my mother made me eat it. And I'm President of the United States and I'm not going to eat any more broccoli" - George Bush

Don't know whether the above quote is really from George Bush. I found it on the internet...hehe

Well, that gives me idea what other vege to give Izma now that she had started her solid feedings. Actually she just tried carrot for the vege group and gave not really a good response if feed her only carrot. Have to mix it with either milk or pureed pear and she loves it to the bits!

So I'm so need to record this as my future references. Everything pun konon2 for the reference la kan. Too lazy to learn it all over again next time...haha it's not rocket science I know, but still...a new knowledge for me. Whatever.

Ok2 back to the topic. Well, Izma turned 6 (months) last Tuesday so it's the new beginning on her solid journey. Solid means solid food, which means adding real food into her milk diet. Although the taste of this so called 'real food' is really tasteless, it is still considered a new adventure for her and she's really really excited! She really loves her meal time. Good girl. Hopefully she maintains her appetite for food like that so that it won't be a bersilat session everytime I want to feed her...huhu

So looking back 1 week ago, I started gave Izma solid 2 days before her 6-month birthday. Really tak sabar + so pity to watch her watching us eat. Her mouth will imitate our chewing motion and she even swallowed her saliva..huhu so guilty looking at her like that. So excitedly, this excited mama bought all the necessities to start solid. Nak start solid pun kena shopping bersungguh tau. Bought new blender for Cheras (use our wedding pressie blender at Bangi), new knife, peeler, chopping board (all in 2 sets), BPA free Take n Toss food containers from The First Years, BPA free weaning spoons also from The First Years and some unresistible cute baby bibs (;p) from Mothercare.

Then, I did some research on the internet on baby first food recipe (you can imagine how excited I am, no?). Actually it is really simple to prepare those pureed food but I just want to get some ideas on what to introduce first so that her tummy don't get too shock on the foreign substance...haha ;p

Guess what first food makes it to Izma's tiny tummy-------PEAR! Yup Izma's first food is pear...hehe pureed pear. How do you do it? Really simple. Peel the pear, cut it into small cubes, put into boiling water for a minute, cool it down, then blend until it turns into smooth puree texture. Done and serve :) A pear can fill up her food container and lasts for a week! But after 2 days I add in carrot to her pear diet. How did Izma take it? For pear she loves loves loves it so much. But for carrot, she rejected it at first. What go in will go out in seconds. None made it to her tummy. However her mama becomes creative and add some milk to the pureed carrot and guess what? She finished it in a blink! Nice eh carrot milk :) And when there's no milk, her mama again becomes creative, mix pear and carrot, the results? She loves it too! As long as there is a familiar taste or sweet taste, she'll love it.

Today Izma will be introduced to a new fruit-----A for an apple! I just made the puree last night. I get a full container of the puree with just an apple. Can lasts for another week :) Ok want to call my mom now to ask on the progress of apple..hehe will make plain rice porridge and potato puree tonight :) Semangat tak hingat ;p

Oh and also, my plan for tonight or this evening - cut Izma's hair! it's getting longer and thicker...huhu will upload her new haircut after that ya...hehe

Before that, do enjoy this pic featuring Izma with her new aqua Bumbo. She loike! I also loike! Make every feeding easier and hassle free (ceh cam wat slogan lak ;p)

My BF journey...

Ermm BF is not BoyFriend ya…I dah x main la boyfren2 ni…hihi

In this case BF = BreastFeeding ya. Actually it’s been ages since I have this topic in mind and wanted to record my journey which had been almost 6 months now, Alhamdulillah although not exclusively and plan to proceed as long as I can InsyaAllah…but it’s also been ages since I’ve put any entry in here…hehe I’m very amaze on those working mothers with babies who manage to update their blog frequently. How do you guys do it? Please share. As for me, I think I don’t even have a minute to spare to write anything here, including weekends when hubby is around. Hopefully this will NOT be the end of my blog. I hope it will not die just like that or die gracefully…haha whichever way it is, please don’t die my dear blog…hehe

So much for the opening babbling. Enough on that, let’s keep this blog alive. So back to my BF topic, what to share? Well, I’ve been breastfeeding my little princess Izma since she was born. But back then there’s not much milk or maybe no milk at all? I don’t know. I’m thankful that Izma can really suck the moment she latched on me although not properly latch but she knew what to do with that thing in her mouth…hehe… For the first few days, she was sucking on my nipple and not on the entire areola (area around the nipple) so my nipples were really hurt due to the wrong latching. And also I think she kept sucking harder because she didn’t get the milk and really hungry. So when she was not satisfied after our breastfeeding session, we sent her to nursery for the nurse to feed her formula milk (they use Enfalac @ PCMC).

After a few consultation sessions with the nurses @ PCMC and I think there were a few of them who are also lactation counselors, they advised me to use nipple shield for my cracked nipples. They provide me one pair of Medela nipple shield and also Medela nipple cream (Purelan 100) which I’m supposed to pay (total of RM120) but somehow somebody forgot to put it on my bills and end up I got them for free! Weee~~~~ lucky me! :)

Anyways that nipple shield pair were very helpful. I can continue bf Izma despite the cracked nipples and by continue bf her, my milk supply increased tremendously (wah2 ;p) due to the stimulation from Izma’s sucking. I used the nipple shield for about 3 to 4 weeks until my nipples fully healed and after that I just direct bf Izma. It was very very very tough though at first to get Izma to properly latch without the nipple shield. We had to try latching for few times on every bf session and it can be really frustrating sometimes.

However after about 6 weeks, our bf activities had been fully established and we became expert at it already (we means Izma and I and ayah too who helped us a lot on this :)). By this time I really can appreciate the beauty of bf and somehow I think ayah benefited a lot from this. He doesn’t have to wake up in the middle of the night to prepare milk and doesn’t have to feed Izma as it had to be me all the time :). But as Izma became so attached to her normal milk supply, it became harder to train her to feed from the bottles when I’m almost finishing my maternity leave. It was a really a challenge.
A lot of ‘bersilat’ session on every bottle feeding.
A lot of tears from Izma (and myself actually ;p).
A lot of trial and error of different types of teats.
A lot of formula milk brand…well not a lot la, only 2…hehe we tried Enfalac A+ and Isomil soy based.
I don’t have EBM (expressed breast milk) stock hence the using of formula milk. And also to train Izma to drink the formula if my EBM is not enough once I started working (which is indeed the case).
Cut the story short, when I started working, my breastpumping journey starts. I pumped 3 times a day during working hours at 9 am, 12 pm and 3 pm. At first I only managed to get max 2oz per session or total of 6oz per day. So little and that time Izma actually drank a lot, around 12oz during the day when I’m at office. I was so depressed with my milk supply. I ate a lot of so called milk stimulation food i.e.:
- Dried longan
- Red date (tried only once, not my taste)
- Fenugreek (rebus, drink 3 big spoons with instant oat drink)
- Milkmaid tea
- Oat
- Habbatus sauda’
- Rice (a lot la of course, everyday )
- Pil ASI
And guess which one worked best for me? The winner is pil ASI! Hehe…well, not really significant increases on my milk supply, but I can consistently maintained around 12oz per day (I add another pumping session before going to sleep at around 11pm).

And since then I managed to maintain my supply minimum 9oz per day which are enough for 3 feedings. The serving amount of 1 feeding of EBM is maintained between 3oz to 3.5oz due to the fat characteristic changes in breastmilk which will suit baby’s age. However her formula feeding serving amount need to be increased from 3oz to 4oz to satisfy the growing baby (fuiyoo explanation cam doctor lak ;p).

So that are basically part of my BF journey which I’m still riding on and plan to continue this beautiful journey as long as I can (for my case I think until my milk dries up which I think will not be a big problem~~~).

And at this very moment I’m so excited to start solid feeding for Izma on her 6th month birthday next week! Thrill thrill thrill! Bought a new blender for her food already ;) Also already bought the food storage containers and spoons (BPA free). I want to introduce homemade food first before introducing instant rice cereal or baby rusks. As much as I want to give her homemade food only, I think it is also important for her to get used to those ‘instant’ baby food so that we can travel long distance without worrying on Izma’s food if we don’t manage to prepare the food. Just get her to taste a little bit of those instant food. But homemade food is the priority :)

I think I want to share the solid journey in next entry la. Which can be a few weeks (or months ;p) from now. Till then toodles for now. Want to collect all those yummy baby food recipes! ;)

we're in JB y'all!!!~again~

Yup2 we're in JB again. This time with a full car. As in really full. Brought along Izma's babysitterS a.k.a. her opah and cu. This time is on my business trip so I can book another room for opah and cu. Compared to the last time we came here, this time's trip is more challenging and tiresome. First, it was a long weekend for M'sia and S'pore due to Wesak Day so the traffic was quite heavy on the PLUS highway heading south. Most of them were S'pore cars. The usual 4-hour journey took around 5 hours++. All the R&R were full including the small Simpang Renggam R&R. It feels like driving during raya holidays (ceh macam la I yg drive ;p).

And secondly, our journey was stressful due to Izma's screaming in the car. She felt really bored I guess because cannot guling2 in the car and started screaming (very loud ya!) all the way from the toll plaza exit at JB until Bluewave Hotel car park. She stopped screaming once I carry her out from the car. Suddenly she became a very good girl...and very happy! Fuhh I should wished that she slept through the journey...hehe luckily she managed to sleep around 3 hours in the car :)

Once in the hotel, she was very excited to be laid down to the huge comfy bed. Started guling2 on the bed like she's in heaven...hehe lepas gian tak dapat guling2 dlm car. And last night she slept like a baby (she seldom does this eventhough she's really a baby...haha). But even then she still had her 'playtime' at 4am, guling2 by herself and gooing herself because mama and ayah had already passed out. Then she slept back until 6.30 am! Nice bed ye Izma. Let's ask ayah to buy one for us :)

So all in all so far so good. Whatever it is I'm just thrill because we're going to spend the whole of this week with ayah!!!!! Bestest ever! Best best best!

Don’t grow too fast dear…

Wow our dearest little izma is 4 months today! In a blink of an eye! That tiny baby had turned into a chubby bubbly baby now :) yup bubbly with her saliva ;p

Anyways I have a lot to write actually on my journey of 4-month motherhood and parenthood. It’s a totally different path to walk through compared to my single mingle life and together-gether-with-hubby-only life. Please do ignore the second last phrase if you don’t understand it because I also don’t.haha ;p

Ok la I think I want to begin with what comes into my mind first. Ok now the second thought already comes also. But I’ll still start with the first thought. First come, first serve. Whatever. What I really want to record here is my daily schedule as a mama to a 4-month old baby. Basically I adapted this schedule since I started working 2 months ago. So far this routine is still valid and I want to record this as my future reference. But mind you, the ‘future’ will not be in the near future ya ;p ok2 enough with the babble babbling. So now I’m sharing my daily routine here…

5 am :
Wake up and straight to shower (however this depends on that little girl; if she joins me waking up then I have to ‘bribe’ her with her ever love breastfeeding session so that she can drift back to sleep…hehe; this can takes up to 30 mins so my shower session can be in between 5-5.30 am…pjg lak bebel ;p)
5.30 am:
Finish my shower, put on my contact lens, put toner on my face, join izma to sleep if she haven’t wake up yet by this time
6 am:
Perform my Subuh prayer
6.05 am (laju giler solat ;p):
Kacau2 izma to wake her up for her morning breastfeeding session; change her diaper, bf her for about half an hour
6.35 am:
Get ready for work, get dress, basic make up (will put on lipstick in the car…hehe multitasking ;p), ready all my breastpump accessories
6.45 am:
Start my car engine, carry izma to walk2 a little bit outside the house n play2 with her
6.55 am (pergghhh detail x ingat):
Go to work
7.45 am:
Reach office, breakfast, check email, bla bla bla ;p
9 am:
First breastpumping session
12 pm:
Second breastpumping session
3 pm:
Third breastpumping session
5 pm (sharp):
Out of office
6 – 6.30 pm:
Reach home, put EBM (expressed breast milk) in fridge, change clothes, watch akasia with izma (watched Cinta Balqis, Na O Mei and currently watching Adamaya :))and concurrently bf her (time ni mmg lepas gian dak kecik tu; bersungguh2 walaupun kenyang…hehe sian die sehari suntuk kene minum botol)

Fuhhhh what a day! And night too! Waaa writing the routine also already tiring. Just imagine how tired I am going through this routine. Well, I guess that’s the price of being a mother. You asked for it in the first place right? Yup, I asked for it. And I’m actually loving every second of it :) but it’ll be so much easier if only hubby is around during weekdays :( it’s not that I can’t handle izma all by myself but I just pity her when she has to play with herself when I’m performing my prayers or when I have to run few things…sian die xde org layan…

Anyways that’s how it is for now. It is still manageable since I can just put izma anywhere without worrying her rolling over the bed as she’s still can’t move much. Wait until she can turn her body and rolling2 then I have to put some extra measures. Have to build pillow wall around her…huhu
Ok lah enough on that, now the second thing I want to share on Izma’s development so far:
Exactly at 4 months:
- Can turn herself at one side; had tried turn her full waist-down part body; sometimes managed to fully turn herself but one hand will still stuck under her body – can lift her head a little in this position but not for long :)
- Drink about 18 oz per day during the day – usually 11 to 12 oz from my milk and top up another 6 oz Enfalac – really hope can fully bf her :( it’s ok InsyaAllah ada rezeki can full bf her brothers and sisters later (erkk cam ramai je brotherS and sisterS ;p)
- Can recognizes familiar faces esp. my face as the main delicious milk supplier, her beloved ayah, her opah, her wan, atuk, mak su, cu…rasa pak ngah’s face dah lupa kut since dah almost 1 month tak jumpa…hehe
- Put everything in her hands into her mouth – if there’s nothing in her hands, she’ll put her hands in her mouth and her most favorite part is her thumb! Both thumbs…nyum2
- Will scream when left unattended for a long time; long time = 5 mins! Manja sungguh kene org layan all the time
- Smiles a lot! So cute!!!!! :))
- Very happy when someone changes her diaper
- Loveeeeee bath time!
will add some more if I remember anything else :)
