Those were the days~~~

I think lately I’m really on ‘oldies’ mode. Flashbacks running through my mind on my younger years (now still young eh ;p). How things are wayyy simpler than today. And right now the particular thing that is keep rewinding on my head is on my video games ‘era’. At present I always get jealous when hubby played with his PS3. It’s not that I’m jealous because he didn’t spend that time with me but because I actually really really want to join him!!! I’m embarrassed to admit this but I actually don’t know how to play PS3. Or any PlayStation edition for that matter. Be it PSP, PS2, Xbox – eh ni macam bukan dalam keluarga PlayStation jek ;p The thing is I don’t know how to control that d*mn PS3 joy stick. Pathetic I know. I tried playing PS3 with my hubby during my preggy time but I lose of course...duhh…We played Little Big Planet (haaa ape gelak2 tu?) and all the while I pushed the wrong button on the joy stick and at the end I felt tired just to learn which button for jump, which button to walk, etc. I actually enjoyed the game but just couldn’t coordinate my hands on that d*mn joy stick…haha

I wish things are simpler just like during those old days. During my primary school years, my sister and I were really mad about video games (weren’t we all are?). I still remembered our first video game my father bought us with the 99 in 1 games disks or whatever you call it (really what’s that thing called eh?). And since then we were really addicted to it. Both of my parents were working that time and my little sister was sent to the babysitter so it will be just my older sister and I in the house during the day. So we’ll stick in front of the television with our video game ‘joy sticks’ in our hands. Glued. Hehe…until our fingers felt sore and red. And also we were so addicted to it to the extent that my mother had to put the video game set away in one of the drawers in her room. And she locked the drawer. And she lost the drawer key. Accidentally. And since then we never see that beloved video game set ever again. And that’s ladies and gents, the end of our video games era…sob~~sob~~

We usually played games which involved 2 players (and my sister won all the time…sob~~sob~~). You name it, Mario Bros, Ice Climber, Tetris, Tank Battle (is this the correct name?), King Kong, Circus (don’t remember the exact name) and we were never get bored of all those games. We played them again and again. And again. To think about it actually, we were really good girls. We never asked our father for other game disk-or-whatever-you-call-it. We were really in love with that 99 in 1 games disk-or-whatever-you-call-it. Hehe…if I’m not mistaken that 1 disk-or-whatever-you-call-it costs almost RM100. At that time it’s considered expensive ya. And the important point here is that those ‘joy sticks’ were really user friendly and the games were not as violent as the PS3 games that my hubby played. And they were also not as complicated as well. I just enjoyed myself playing the games and laughing all the way.

Mario Bros: Waa cepat Mario mkn mushroom nanti jadi besar ;p

Ice Climber: I miss this game the most. Come on Eskimos, catch that bird!

Tetris: I always heart arcade games (maybe because I’m good at them…haha perasan ;p)

Compared to the PS3 games, I’m always get stressed just watching my hubby play them. To name a few, Assassin’s Creed, Uncharted, Resident Evil (fuiyoo I tau jugak the names ;p) So violent. Blood everywhere, killing people. Waa I just can’t take it (I’m that old huh???) And sometimes he will have Izma sit on his lap while he’s playing those violent games. Aiyoo nanti ganas pulak my adorable daughter tu…hehe

Assassin’s Creed: Terjun2 bangunan pastu bunuh2 orang…ish..ish…

Uncharted: Best gak tgk hubby main ni. Main2 jap pastu ada drama…hehe

But yeah those were the days. Everything is developing as accordance to the current technology (apasal cam canggih giler ayat tak bole blah ;p). But despite all this I still missed my old uncomplicated video games. My hands are so itchy to held that old ‘joy stick’ again. Waaa really miss them. But coming to reality, those days can’t be repeated although we want it to be the case very much. So I guess you need to ‘grow’ together with the world and face the facts that the world is growing so fast!!! On the other hand, actually as we grow we also have other things that we like to do to occupy our sweet time so it really doesn’t matter if you are not keeping pace with the video games technology…hehe whatever ;p (ni konon2 nak sedapkan hati sebab actually mmg dah outdated ;p)

Now I’d rather spend my time with shopping activities. This particular activity is always the same old same old thing. Ok I know not related at all with the main topic here but I love shopping! Even more now when shopping for Izma’s stuff. Love it love it. But most of the time more to window shopping that is. And for this particular activity I'll beat hubby everytime for sure! Tee hee ^-^
